If we want to remain vibrant (and yes, sexual), that's more a function of claiming that vibrancy for ourselves, no matter what The Culture says about youth = desirable, therefore age = yuck.
Easier said than done, but that's our mission, right? As for hair, I agree with you: we should all do what makes us happiest. For me, that's letting my hair go gray — but adding some vivid splashes of purple, blue, and teal when I feel like it.
